“Our church is actively involved with “Shared United Methodist Ministry”, better known as SUMM.  SUMM was created to encourage the United Methodist churches to share in ministry together by pooling our resources, various talents and ideas.

SUMM has planned skating parties, bonfires with wiener roasts, helped with combined Vacation Church School, joined in Kids Against Hunger activities, and collected packages of socks and underwear to be distributed yearly at Toys for Tots.

At the end of each month  churches in the community join with us to serve a free meal for anyone who would like to attend at Grace UMC.  We are always looking for new ways to reach out in ministry to the community and to those who might be in need.

Don’t you just love putting on a brand new pair of socks?       Well, with our help, SUMM has been able to supply 752 children who participated in Toys for Tots with packages of socks and underwear.  We also delivered socks and underwear to all the elementary schools in the area for emergency situations.  We’ve helped to make many children a little more comfortable during our winters.
